ActivZone’s May 2017 Newsletter

Welcome to May’s edition of your ActivZone Newsletter! As always, we have some exciting news for you along with a few updates regarding what’s happening in your club!

Let us start with a few…

Reminders:

Carpark: We know, at times, parking can be a little difficult outside the club, but please remember, FREE Members parking is only authorised in the cark-park directly outside our doors & when signed into our members’ registration book. The gravel, student/stoke park & college driveway parking is not covered under our ‘sign-in book’ & will result in parking tickets being issued.

Equipment Etiquette: I’m sure you will have noticed how ‘buzzy’ your gym has become over the last few months, its great seeing so many new faces all enjoying ActivZone as part of their active lifestyles!

With this in mind, please can we ask you to ensure that all equipment is cleaned & put away after use. This helps new members to follow in our footsteps & keeps ease of finding things in a clean & tidy standard ready for its next use!

Class Bookings: It’s fantastic to see that classes are busier than ever before & you are really getting the most from your memberships by using them!

However, we must remind you to ensure you are booked on to each class.

Sadly, we’ve had to start turning members away from classes due to them being fully booked & attendees failing to book in.

We would love to accommodate everyone, but due to safety and comfort within the class we are unable to book over our maximum attendance numbers.

& on that note….

Class Timetable Changes:

Due to poor attendance ratings & following the popular demand, Please see the following changes to your class timetable.

These changes will come into effect as of MONDAY 1ST MAY  2017.

Wednesdays ONLY:

Zumba & MMA will no longer be available. These classes have been replaced with the following:

Strength&Conditioning 6:30-7:15pm within ActivZone (Replacing MMA)

YOGA 6:30-7:30pm in the dance studio within the college (Zumba room).

Please note, Yoga will still be available during college holidays! These will take place on Sunday mornings within ActivZone, instead of Wednesdays.

Boxfit remains but has been bought forward to start at the end of Strength&Conditioning at 7:15pm.

You vs Sunflower:

This is your chance to start that competition within yourself.

Introducing our Personal Trainer of the Month:

I’m sure you’ve seen him about ActivZone, whether he’s pushed you through a fitness class or a 1-on-1 Personal Training session (included in the GOLD membership) It’s our in-house PT Ollie Stent!

Over to Ollie:

“I am a fully qualified personal trainer, spinning instructor and have learnt my profession whilst working full time at ActivZone Gym. I have been part of the team for 3 years teaching classes, 1-1 personal training, programming and much more. My passion for sport and fitness has lead me to take it on as a career.

I believe training should not be a chore or a bore, it should be fun, challenging and an educational journey towards your goals! Whether its losing those extra pounds or adding on lean muscle, I will work with you to make sure your goals are met!

I also have an interest in strength and conditioning and will be commencing a S+C coach course soon, which will help cater for any sport specific requirements too.

Being an avid footballer I personally have struggled keeping fit to play, after two ACL Reconstructions I still manage to play for my local club relatively pain free! So, if you need any advice on any similar injuries and want to get back to playing the sport you love just drop me a message!

I am currently offering a starter pack promotion of a consultation plus 4 x 60 min sessions for just £99.00! This will help kickstart your fitness journey to achieving the goals you’ve always wanted.

Bank Holidays:

Yep, they’re happening again!

When:

Monday 1st May

Monday 29th May

Opening Hours 9am-5pm. 

Please note, no classes will be available to book on these days. (More reason for you to get out there & enjoy the Bank Holiday break!)
